Karli is getting old enough that she wants to answer the door and maybe even the telephone. We have had "stanger danger" talks and even have a book about it. Well, I was going to the store the other day and Karli was watching tv while Jason was sleeping in. I gave her the phone and said "If the phone says call from Dean Lisa, answer it." I just like to know if I need to get a hold of her, she can answer the phone. That day I didn't test my lesson.
Forward to today, I was leaving for work and Jason wanted "10 more minutes" so I gave her the phone again and told her when to answer it. I tested it out in "10 minutes" and she answered "Hi Mommy, daddy's awake and I am watching a movie." I told her to have a good day. I checked in a little while later and she answered again "Hi Mommy, daddy's awake and I am dressed." Jason wanted to talk to me at this point and she said NO. Once again I told her to have a good day. A little while later, Jason sent me the following e-mail "Kar said leave her a message. She's not home." I think she's got it!
